Frequently Asked Questions

|
Q: |
What type of boat do you
use? |
|
A: |
We have a 31' Seaquest
fiberglass rib
GLASSBOTTOM
boat called
"PISCES"
with a capacity of 16 - 17 people. This boat is
the type used by the U.S. Coast Guard and is very
seaworthy. If it is good enough for them, it's
great for us! |

|
Q: |
What
type of facilities do you have onboard? |
|
A: |
There is a toilet onboard
and custom-made seating. |

Q: |
What
is the cost of the Snorkeling Shipwreck & Beach Fun
Glassbottom Cruise? |
|
A: |
Adult - $65 per person.
Child - $45 per person (Ages 8 - 10). Sorry, we
prefer not to take children under 8 years, unless they
enjoy boats and the water! |

|
Q: |
How much time is spent in
the water for snorkeling? |
|
A: |
Our boat is fast and gets
you to the three points, where we snorkel, quicker than
the larger boats, and you
snorkel three times in three
different locations on the ONE cruise. We give you
more time in the water than other companies and we also glassbottom over a third wreck.
1)
35 Minutes: ISLAND / BEACH AREA
- King's Point, located at the western end of the
island, close to Cambridge Beaches. Then,
glassbottom over the HMS Vixen. You might see
turtles in this area.
2)
45 Minutes: 2 SHIPWRECKS
- The Constellation and Montana wrecks sit in 15' to 18'
of water at Western Blue Cut, which is on the northern
side of the island. Great for snorkeling over.
Sunk in the late 1800's and early 1900's. (IF
WEATHER PERMITS, YOU MIGHT GO TO AN
ALTERNATE WRECK
- THE DARLINGTON - WHICH WAS SUNK IN 1886)
3)
40 Minutes: BEAUTIFUL CORAL REEF /
SEA GARDEN - Located close
to Western Blue Cut.
If the weather does not
permit us to go 5 miles out to the shipwrecks, we are
still able to offer the closer shipwreck to glassbottom
over, as well as alternate snorkeling spots, so you will
still have a fun cruise. |

Q:: |
When do you operate? |
|
A: |
We operate on a daily
basis, morning and afternoon, during June / July /
August (only afternoon time is available for Sundays). We operate, usually, an afternoon-only
cruise during April / May and September / October.
If requested in advance, and subject to demand, we
sometimes operate a morning cruise during off-peak
months. |

|
Q: |
How do we make a
reservation for your cruise? |
|
A: |
It is advisable to make an
advance reservation to guarantee seats, as we only take
small numbers of people - not large crowds. This
can be done by either emailing us (
jessiejames@northrock.bm
) or telephone (441)
335-1072. A credit
card ( AX / MC / VI ) is required at time of booking to
guarantee number of seats reserved.
If you are bringing a cellular
phone with you to Bermuda, please give us this number,
as well as your home number. There is a 24hr "cancellation / no show"
policy and you have guaranteed the number of seats
reserved, even if you show up at the dock with less
people... PLEASE NOTE: WE
ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR TRAVELERS' CHECKS AS PAYMENT FOR THE
CRUISE. Please do
not turn up at the dock with a credit card to pay, as we
will not accept it.
If the weather is bad on the day, and we have to
cancel the cruise, naturally we do not charge you.
At the time of booking, we need your last name / first
name, number of adults / children (including their
ages), home telephone number, where you are staying
while in Bermuda and when you are arriving. |

Q: |
Where does your boat depart
from? |
|
A: |
We depart from
THE FLAGPOLE,
which is located on Front

City of Hamilton.
There
is a stage/bandstand with canopy, where the largest
Bermuda flag is flying and, in the season, you will see
a large banner that says, Harbour Nights.
Go behind the stage, look over the dock, into the water,
and you will see our boat, 'PISCES' / JESSIE
JAMES CRUISES. |
